Official Rules & Regulations
1. Eligibility
The Norfolk Treasure Hunt (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of Ontario, Canada who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, representatives, and agents of the Contest organizer, its affiliates, sponsors, and their immediate family members or persons living in the same household are not eligible to enter.
2. Entry Method
No Purchase Necessary: Participants may enter the Contest for free by following instructions at www.norfolktreasurehunt.com.
Optional Sponsorship: Businesses may contribute to the prize pool as sponsors. Sponsorship does not guarantee winning and does not increase odds of winning. All participants have an equal chance of winning.
3. Contest Period & Draw Date
The Contest begins on the official launch date and continues until the treasure is found. Clues will be released periodically via the website, email, and social media. A winner will be selected and announced once the correct solution is submitted.
4. Prize Details
The prize consists of a cash jackpot in CAD. The value will increase over time through sponsor contributions. The current value is publicly updated at www.norfolktreasurehunt.com. The prize is non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded.
5. Skill-Testing Question
In accordance with Canadian contest laws, the selected winner must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance in order to claim the prize.
6. Winner Verification
To be declared a winner, the entrant must: provide valid identification, correctly answer the skill-testing question, and sign a declaration and release form. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
7. Release & Liability
Participants agree to release and hold harmless the Contest organizer and sponsors from any liability or damage arising from participation or use of the prize. Participants acknowledge they are participating at their own risk.
8. General Conditions
The organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest at any time. We may disqualify anyone tampering with the process. All decisions relating to the Contest are final and binding.
9. Privacy
Personal information collected will be used solely for the administration of the Contest and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
10. Sponsor Acknowledgement
Sponsorship contributions increase the prize pool and promotional visibility but do not influence the outcome of the Contest.
